Job Description:

Facilities Technicians use a variety of construction related skills to support the Manufacturing Facilities team on projects, processes, troubleshooting, repairs and improvements to ensure the continuity of themanufacturing environment and facilitate employee comfort.


Job Responsibilities:

Facilities Technicians will have varying degrees of responsibility in the following areas based on their level of experience, qualifications, talents, aptitudes and developed skill sets.

  • Maintain and repair floors, walls, doors and ceilings including drywall, paint, suspended ceilings, door seals and closers, handle sets, overhead doors, and other systems in the manufacturing buildings 
  • Perform a variety of installations to support and protect the production environment
  • Support maintenance and repair of building systems including electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Conduct minor repairs to the building systems including electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Assist with preventative maintenance throughout the building
  • Observe and report maintenance and repair needs
  • Work in a safe and clean manner at all times and comply with established safe work practices
  • Complete work in compliance with doTERRA procedures, applicable codes and governing standards
  • Respond to routine and emergency maintenance requests
  • Work with contractors, vendors, service providers and government representatives as applicable 
  • Order, pick up, receive, process and stock maintenance materials and supplies

Job Qualifications:

Facilities Technicians meet these basic qualifications.

  • High school degree, GED, or equivalent
  • Experience and commensurate skills in construction and/or facilities maintenance: Facilities Tech I, 1-2 years / Facilities Tech II, 3-4 years / Facilities Tech III, 5+ years
  • Ability to Lift and Carry 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of adverse conditions

Facilities Technicians possess many or all of these skills and attributes.

  • Ability to operate the tools and equipment needed to carry out the job responsibilities
  • Ability to work from written, illustrated and/or verbal instructions
  • Strong mechanical and problem solving aptitudes
  • Solid interpersonal and customer service skills / good written and verbal communication
  • Good computer skills including MS Office, internet, email and Building Automation Systems
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks with limited supervision
  • Exercise considerable judgment and care when planning, performing and completing projects and tasks
  • Promote teamwork and maintains a positive attitude and inclusive approach by working closely with the manufacturing facilities team and others
  • Available to respond to urgent needs outside of a scheduled shift and work extended hours when needed
  • Desire to improve yourself and your environment and to learn new concepts, skills and approaches 
  • Energetic, pro-active, solution conscious
