Job Description: 

Support and help drive Global Trade Compliance for doTERRA both domestically and internationally by analyzing, developing, and implementing best practices that support the overall vision of the business. This position reports to the Director of International Logistics. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Stay informed of international events and changes to laws and requirements that may impact company operations 

  • Assist with the development and refinement of policies, processes, and procedures in relation to compliance 

  • Analyze doTERRA’s global business from a Trade Compliance standpoint and identify areas for improvement 

  • ERP System Maintenance - assist in the maintenance of Dangerous Goods, HS product classification, and other data within SAP, Workfront dashboards, or other internal systems as needed 

  • Deliver input regarding best practices for AES filings and export paperwork 

  • Collaborate in the implementation of a duty-drawback program 

  • Support the attainment of permits and licenses as needed  

  • Ensure that all filings, documents, and regulatory reporting are completed accurately, in a timely manner, and according to trade laws 

  • Generate reports to monitor Free Trade Agreements 

  • Provide support for any government audit or request for information 

  • Build, maintain, and develop strong relationships with various departments throughout doTERRA  


Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in process of obtaining one within 1 year) or equivalent experience  

  • 1-2 years of trade compliance or supply chain experience preferred 

  • ERP experience required (SAP preferred) 

  • Experience in developing KPI’s 

  • Current Dangerous Goods Certification (or ability to obtain one in first 90 days after start date) 

  • Strong capabilities in Excel are a must, Tableau (or equivalent) preferred 

  • Good understanding of the EAR, HS classification & Customs Compliance preferred 

  • Strong computer literacy skills required 

  • Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail 

  • Strategic problem-solving abilities 

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in a professional manner 

  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly, work independently, and stay on task to finish tasks and projects in the timeframe provided 

  • This position is in a professional office setting, the incumbent may be required to: 

  • Traverse varying distances and travel between different floors of the building 

  • Remain stationary for extended periods of time while operating a computer or other office resources 

  • As this position operates in a location near a production/manufacturing facility, the work environment may include exposure to airborne particles and/or scents and aromas
