Job Description:
This full-time position manages a team of regulatory specialists and provides support and strategic direction as well as coaching and training. This individual oversees regional product registration efforts and provides ongoing regulatory guidance to a team.  They support and collaborate with the various departments and partners which regulatory affairs services.

Job Responsibilities            Job Responsibilites:  

  • Manage team of regulatory specialists

  • Train regulatory affairs specialists for success in their markets and careers.  Continually develop and improve training materials to meet the changing needs of the job and team

  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and tools for specialists in drafting registration dossiers, reviewing labels, problem solving and any other needs

  • Help in creation and review of key performance indicators, metrics and reports to help drive individual success of team members and the department as whole

  • Meet regularly with team members

  • Supervise the regulatory compliance of all doTERRA products across several global markets

  • Be a key member of a number of cross-functional teams working on the development of products, claims, processes and other needs

  • Monitor and train on current department procedures as well as improve them over time and collaborate with management team on new training ideas

  • Maintain regulatory knowledge and manage projects directly when needed 

  • Research regulatory issues and obtain or create essential documents to prepare regulatory submissions or solve regulatory problems

  • Oversee the obtainment of documents and preparation of regulatory files for product registration

  • Monitor, train and improve the processes for preparation of artwork for product launches in international markets.

  • Communicate internationally with doTERRA regulatory staff and consultants, paying particular attention to critical projects and sensitive or difficult issues

  • Review formulations as well as coordinate formulation reviews across team

  • Contribute to initiatives to improve processes within the regulatory department

  • Monitor team workload and communicate resource needs or timeline adjustments.

  • Effectively organize, support and supervise large projects with team members.

                                                   Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science, preferably in food science, nutrition, or related field.

  • 8+ years industry experience in product registration/regulatory affairs or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential oil regulatory experience a plus.

  • 2+ years management experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated excellence in the regulatory profession.

  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and willingness to learn and coach others.

  • Proven ability to communicate well especially while discussing complex, technical issues with non-scientific personnel.

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with proficient written and oral communication skills.

  • Foreign language skills strongly desired.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects to completion and track large amounts of dynamic data.

  • Relevant computer knowledge and experience (Excel, Word, database).

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.

  • Proven proficiency in regulatory affairs in markets of focus.

  • Proactive engagement and attitude toward improvement.

  • Ability to critically review registration dossiers, scientific articles and other technical information and provide constructive feedback.
