This is a full-time position and represents an opportunity to expand on specialized experience and competence in regulatory affairs, as it relates to doTERRA’s cosmetic, food, nutritional supplements, and essential oil products. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will write, coordinate, and complete the submission of regulatory documents for international notifications and registrations. In addition, this individual will conduct product labeling and advertising review and approvals and evaluate proposed product modifications for regulatory impact. This individual will be heavily involved in formula reviews, technical document examination and review (including raw material documents), and submission, involving in-depth Excel experience and usage.
Ensure regulatory compliance of all doTERRA products across several fast growing global markets.
Be a key member of a number of cross-functional teams working on the development of product claims for labeling and promotion, as well as the development and commercialization of new products.
Monitor and maintain a wide array of technical regulatory files and the status of existing products in assigned markets.
Research regulatory issues and obtain or create essential documents to prepare and coordinate regulatory submissions under tight timelines.
Obtain and create essential documents including formulas, specifications, and other key documents and prepare regulatory master files for product registration under minimal supervision.
Coordinate the detailed country-specific labelling of products in preparation of artwork for product launches in international markets.
Daily communication with doTERRA regulatory staff and consultants on a variety of issues including label status, formula acceptability, QA/QC issues, importation of products, etc.
Bachelors of Science, preferably in food science, nutrition, or related field.
1 years industry experience in product registration/regulatory affairs preferred.
Proven ability to communicate in a multi-cultural environment especially while discussing complex, technical issues with non-scientific personnel.
Fluent in both written and spoken English, with proficient written and oral communication skills.
Foreign language skills strongly desired, especially Chinese.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task multiple time-sensitive projects and track large amounts of dynamic and complex data.
Advanced computer knowledge and experience specifically in Excel (Word, database).
Ability to work as part of a team as well as primarily independently.
