Job Description:

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist II provides global regulatory support to various projects and products. This position supports global strategic planning and product development efforts as well as support for existing products with respect to product changes/modifications, labeling and promotional material review and approval. This individual will write, coordinate and complete the submission of regulatory documents to FDA and similar international regulatory agencies, including international notification and registrations. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist II prepares responses to FDA and international regulatory agency questions and other regulatory correspondence. This individual provides regulatory support to product development teams including the creation of global regulatory overviews and recommendations on global regulatory strategy, which includes in-depth team involvement with core team members (e.g. marketing, R&D). In addition, this individual will conduct product labeling and advertising review and approvals and evaluate proposed product modifications for Regulatory impact.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance of all doTERRA products across several global markets.
  • Be a key member of a number of cross-functional teams working on the development of product claims for labeling and promotion, as well as the development and commercialization of new products.
  • Monitor and maintain regulatory files and the status of existing products in assigned markets.
  • Research regulatory issues and obtain or create essential documents to prepare and coordinate regulatory submissions.
  • Obtain essential documents and prepare regulatory master files for product registration.
  • Coordinate the preparation of artwork for product launches in international markets.
  • Communicate internationally with doTERRA regulatory staff and consultants.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Science, preferably in food science, nutrition, or related field.
  • 2-4 years industry experience in product registration/regulatory affairs.
  • Proven ability to communicate in a multi-cultural environment especially while discussing complex, technical issues with non-scientific personnel.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with proficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Foreign language skills strongly desired.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, including strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects and track large amounts of dynamic data.
  • Relevant computer knowledge and experience (Excel, Word, database).
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
