The Senior Manager, Global Brand Creative is responsible for driving creative excellence across North America and Global marketing via the development of global brand style guides with toolkits for international markets, product branding innovations and leading the concept development for brand and product campaigns. This role partners closely with the creative and content departments, communications strategy team, product marketing team and market stakeholders to ingest strategic, creative briefs and produce creative and campaign concepts that benefit the doTERRA brand, our company mission, as well as our leaders and customers alike. This role is also responsible for mentoring and developing a group of creatives spanning the product creative, campaign creative and digital creative needs of the business.  

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Brand creative excellence: 

  • Working with the head of department to establish world-class brand, marketing, product, image and campaign creative direction and style guides.  

  • Empowering others with the toolkits and assets required for brand creative excellence to be accessible in a wide number of use-cases, including photoshoots, campaign development, digital creative, video treatments, and more. 

  • Actively leading creative approvals processes for brand, product and campaign development, ensuring consistent application of doTERRA’s creative excellence principles. 

  • Brand refresh across all channels and touchpoints: 

  • Lead the creative aspects of the brand refresh for product packaging, marketing campaigns, digital channels and in-person experiences. 

  • Work with the project manager to ensure all updated artwork for refreshed packaging is concepted, approved by relevant stakeholders, and aligned with the brand strategy and revised packaging guidelines. 

  • Finalize and maintain brand packaging guidelines for North American and other regions as required. 

  • Creative campaign development: 

  • Work in partnership with content creatives to brainstorm, concept and develop brand campaigns and product launch campaigns that cut through the noise, educate effectively, and make it easy for our Leaders to retell and share our brand and product stories. 

  • Maintain cohesive development of campaigns, such that comms planning strategies are brought to life through creative execution. 

  • Oversee campaign execution: 

  • Art direction at photoshoots, with designers, content creators, contractors and more. Uses concept moodboards, style guides and shotlists to establish vision and empower others to execute. 

  • Considers the needs of the leaders to ensure appropriate assets are captured and created to drive our the success of our leaders. 

  • Mentor and lead the creative team: 

  • Develop up-and-coming talent to step into their fullest creative potential and apply their creativity to achieving doTERRA’s mission, be leader focused and deliver story excellence. 

Qualifications & Prerequisites: 

  • 5-10 years in a creative leadership role with proven team management experience. 

  • 2-4 years creative marketing and/or design school, or equivalent experience. Further education highly favored. 

  • Adobe Creative Suite (required), 3D design experience (highly beneficial), Microsoft Office (required), Teams, Workfront, Asana (highly beneficial). 

  • Experience with packaging materials and substrates, print process and creative production principles. 

  • Proven ability to think conceptually: comes to the role with a highly creative portfolio of previous projects and campaign work. Can think ‘big picture’ while also having attention to detail in all campaign assets, product materials, brand stories and more. 

  • Branding experience: is obsessed with keeping a finger on the pulse of design-forward brands, and has a demonstrated ability to use this as inspiration for keeping a brand contemporary, memorable and distinctive.  

  • Strong communicator: confident communication when presenting and explaining strategic rationale for creative and design decision-making. Understands the importance of being proactive and collaborative with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Able to empower teams to execute on creative vision with clear communication and feedback. Fosters the creative exploration and career growth of the individuals in the team.
