This job contributes to doTERRA's success by leading the global Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Compliance program. This individual will report to the Global Trade Compliance Manager. This role will help ensure that all departments are in compliance with doTERRA's HazMat/DG policy and procedures. This includes all global movements (air/ocean/ground) of both raw material and finished goods. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Compiles and maintains Hazardous Communication documentation.
  • Provides training for all pertinent employees.
  • Inspects inbound/outbound cases for compliance.
  • Keeps records of all non-compliant incidents.
  • Responds to Hazmat queries (broken cases, leaking product, questionable products).
  • Creates & maintains all company MSDS'.
  • Develops & maintains standard operation procedures for receiving, handling, packaging and shipping of hazardous material.
  • Enforces compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and procedures required for processing hazardous material.
  • Negotiates the flow of hazardous material throughout the organization.
  • Develops recordkeeping procedures required by federal regulations..

These are the skills and experiences we're looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience in hazardous material transportation, handling and storage.
  • Current HazMat/DG Certificate.
  • Previous experience in conducting training classes.
  • Knowledge IATA/IMDG/DOT regulations.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer for data entry and reporting using MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Warehouse/Fulfillment Operations.
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across doTERRA for the achievement of business goals.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and plan and see things through to the end.
  • Bilingual a plus (not required).
